it's worse than ever now.........they more willing now to put themselves in some hot shyte to try & justify the goof shyte they spit*
Rappers nowadays seem more active but most of them just emotional

Most these beefs be over jealousy and hurt feelings not actual gangsta shyt

And they wild feminine
The popularity of drill music got dudes self snitching on themselves

Rapping about bodies they merked. Territories they turf. Advertising weapons they own…just easier access for cops to hunt for em

Street clout is one helllllll of a drug

IMO it started prior to drill music. NWA would be one. They had studio gangsters but Eazy E was about that life. So was Three Six Mafia. I guess today's rappers are just an evolution of it.

it really is a two way street

this generation of criminals fukking suck at keeping shyte low

so it may be a case of dumb ass street nikkas putting situations on record for attention sake

the streets always been more influential than music because real life is more influential than art

there is no art without real life ha

Average rapper doesn't deal in any of this shyt. It's a small percentage same as it was back in the day. Only now it's easier to focus on that minority and make it the face when folks are ready to spread propaganda.
