yep....back in the day when I was much younger...I mean much younger.

Then upon enterting college had some real eye opening moments in terms of race being a black person in America...and I had to wake up.
more details on those eye opening moments?

I swear i've seen this exact same thread with the same first post and everything.

I was c00n-ish when i was younger cuz all i saw on tv were white people. I remember wishing i could style my hair like superman. But it wasn't really a race thing cuz i didn't think about race consciously until i was much older. Like even during my teen years race was never on my mind.
lol u must jus be havin a deja vu moment

it was kinda the same for me growin up :ehh:

Nah I was always a social butterfly in school and hung with everybody. I'd sit at the "Black" table one day and the "White/mixed" table other times.

It wasn't until I'd hang with my white friends that "******" would slip out or some racist shyt would always come up.

I think what pushed me over was me smoking weed w/ my white friends and one said to another "Hey man don't ******lip it" in my presence. In addition, one of my white friends was saying how I "wasn't like the other Black people" since I was smart/educated/etc.

Now I don't hang w/ any white folks. Interacting with them is only out of necessity. I still have some white friends from HS but their relegated to social media. I don't go outta my way to make friends with cacs :yeshrug:
my nikka plz tell me u slapped the blunt out that nikka mouth next time it got to him :wow: :dahell:

and yeh i got that "u not like other black dudes" a few times too :beli: such an ignorant thing to say

Depends in how you define "c00n":mjpls:

Yes, I was once one of those pseudo intellectual "pro black, yet someone else is/was the source of my problems " types in my younger years in college.

Then I grew up, got a job, paid my own taxes and my own bills and lived in the real world

how much of a c00n was u?
Lol. I made a couple of jokes about Africans that I'm not going to repeat. Let some of those suspect comments white dudes like to throw out around c00ns, slide. That kind of thing. I was a kid subdued by years of white supremacist TV programming and wasn't being schooled on the real deal by anyone.

A lot of young people are c00ns by default because that's what the media will lead you to be if you don't have a counter-balance.

I grew up in a diverse but mostly white community (Silver Springs MD) but my high school was mostly 70% white. I had a diverse groups of friends but would mostly hang with my black friends outside of school. I was on my pro black shyt in high school joined a group for minority's at HS that went on black college tours and discussed black issues after school.

Then went to a HBCU and graduated and decided to pursue my career in my music. Dealt with so many loser ass nikkas I went thru a minor c00n phase. I wasn't Jesse Lee Peterson or nothing but when you get around so many loser ass nikkas sitting around not doing shyt you tend to look at white people as saviors because everytime you get around them you get paid and don't have to deal wit all the bullshyt drama. But then once you get in corporate America you start noticing all the slick little snide shyt they be saying. I got hip to Tariq in 08 and realized my issue was the nikkas I was dealing with and not all black folks in general. SO can't really say it was a c00n phase tho.

You can't convert to being a non-c00n, once you've been smoking the poison all it takes is for a cac to welcome you with open arms then you'll flip faster than a mob snitch.

To all you self-confessed former c00ns, it's merely a countdown to relapse:steven:, 'ol I've been clean 7 years 6 months and 13 days ass nikkas:smh:
