last system i bought was a ps3. And i had stopped playing that for a while before ps4 came out.

I got a pc and the only games i play on there is stuff Brawlhalla just because it's something i can pick up and put down at anytime. Some of those open RPG or whatever they are called look cool but they look way too extensive and expensive.

I am comfortable and I love you
In general, yes. There are still experiences I enjoy, but a lot of the most popular stuff takes like 60 hours to finish, I max out after like 30. Like you said @Buckeye Fever I'm used to just starting the game and getting going. This is why I love older games and arcade style stuff. Of course that still exists, but it seems like now the challenge is in the hours of game play, versus having to master and beat the design of the game.

This breh sums it up pretty well

There are a lot of good games on the switch for people who aren’t hardcore gamers or have limited time.

Nope.
If I ever have kids, they're gonna have a HUGE backlog of videogames that their old man amassed over the decades of him playing videogames, from the SNES era come up to whatever gaming is gonna be when I die, hopefully an old man.

Its called maturing OP. And i used to be really into video games as a kid. Stayed up all night, might spend the first month of summer finishing a damn game while everybody was outside.

But somewhere along the line i just lost the attention span for it. Maybe thats a sign of losing attention span altogether due to how we consume entertainment now.

But i see plenty of cool looking video games and just think "That looks like its going to take so much time:francis:". Ill play some 2k,Madden,COD,Delta Force. But games with story modes im not interested.

Don't get me started. You put a game in for the first time now, as an adult you ready to spend what LITTLE free time you have for an hour playing, and you gotta wait for a 2 Gig update and then install to take 2 hours. Like WTH.

Then all of these games are some type of First person RPG.

What happened to all the variety of games anymore. Literally everything is an RPG
That's what got me done playing games.
