Did we declare K.Dots TPAB a "Pro Black" album or was it assigned for us?

Not sure why the two above posters are every Kendrick thread knowing they don't like his music.

To the question. In this PC climate, yes. A good one at that.
Naw it's pretty weak. The powers that be are smart for pushing him. They want the face of pro black,to be a weak meek midget that isnt awakening anyone to anything.
The moment he actually threatens white supremacy, his support will be pulled and he will be bashed and have to rely on talent alone.
And he's too wack to survive like that

Lol at someone using singles as there argument

King kunta did not have any pro black lyrics even if we open the lane to Beyonce type of "pro blackness"

Kendrick is fantastic. I wonder if people are putting too much of a burden on him. Dude is a great artist, but is still human. And these media and activist types love fallen idols. Its all they write about. He need to be left alone with people try a make him rap cornel west.

In King Kunta wasn't Kendrick calling nikkas monkeys:usure:

Yes I know it was a shot at other rappers and rap is competitive.

But when a song is meant to be Pro Black I don't think it should stray into taking shots at competition.

Let alone call competition that is mostly made up of Black men " Monkeys"

That is of course if it was a pro black song to begin with, which it's not.

he did it to himself. He could of just made music without all the fake pac shyt, his team inflating ratings on websites etc,but he did all that for attention now he reap what he sow

Had he just made music,he'd be low as fukk on the totem pole so he did what he did

Everywhere...You never there.
As a Black writer/creative who makes racial content, I can firmly say that we're all constantly self-editing when writing. You're constantly asking yourself if this or that is going too far, especially in the eyes of white people, then deciding either 'fukk it, you don't care :ld: ' or ':whoa: chill out'

Kendrick is firmly in the 'chill out' camp and I don't think it's *accidental* He knows he's watching his mouth for these white folks.

true. Especially for the underlined... as for white people, it just depends on the audience.

The blackest thing you can do is love your self and people who look like you. When you use environment to correlate with Blackness you create more division and self hate. You get the "you not black" because you act/talk/dress/etc like this non sense.

Yeah... in this day and age, you can't really be pro black and backed that hard by the machine. I think some other posters mentioned that.

How did his team inflate ratings? I love Kendrick but I have seen this story before. The people building him up as a spokesman will be the first to tear him down when he makes an error which is inevitable as he is only human.

TPAB is a masterpiece though. I don't think it has great replay value but as a statement, as a piece of art, it is unimpeachable.

You can,but it will take a number of artists all making profitable militant music,to force them to lean back
