they picked the perfect 1st single. but yea, the success juelz had with his 2nd album, he shouldve had that and then some on his debut.

the promotion was piss-poor
everybody had the album before it actually came out
to make things worse, they dropped the album before the advertised release date - similar to what happened to young buck the following summer, but at least buck had a machine behind em.
It was a good "street signal" but he needed something like HeyMa to reach suburban white hoes

Dipset was super generational... If u aint a certain age group u couldnt even get jiggy with it like tht. it was for the youg fly nikkas and grown knuckleheads

:wtf:

you dont know what youre talking about.

people in their 40s - now in their 50s were f*kin with dipset HARD. its nothing generational about it.

I was a Dip stan and can admit this... Brehs really tred the line of novelty rappers/dope clique

novelty is not the correct word at all, but i see what youre trying to say.

and youre still wrong. the only "novelties"(by your definition) in dipset that were full-fledge rappers were juelz & jones.

i dont see how you can be a stan of a clique when it seems that youre only familiar with the front-men.

Dips had bars Juelz was a clown especially on the singles but Dips had spitters

yea.

its like imagine the reaction that a wu-nerd would give if somebody said that wutang wasnt lyrical, and they used ol dirty b*stard as their prime example.

then they start googling up names and come back saying that poppa wu is wack.

this is what killed hip-hop.
he didnt need a suburban single. just give that bul some promotion.

this is also one of the reasons why dipset was so popular. they didnt go hit-chasin', even tho they had the ability to do that. they were literally like that last glimmer of hope for hip-hop. dudes that had IT but still kept it authentic.

jones & juelz sold out later on, and they havnt made any noise since.
