I'd love to hear this, I've never heard a wack Styles verse ever.

I'd also like to know how and why Missy was randomly chosen to be Puff's creative consultant at that moment in time :mjlol:
She was writing for Jodeci and all that she knew Puff already before he fully created Bad Boy.

If she was just “there” for All About The Benjamin’s she wouldn’t have had the power to take Styles off the song. Her input was obviously valuable at that point. She had already was fukkin wit Puff from the year before with the remixes n shyt like Cold Rock a Party. Swing mob was done in 95 and she had been fukkin wit Puff since before Bad Boy existed. She dropped Supa Dupa Fly in 97 so that damn sure wasn’t when she first left the Da Bassment crew. Ginuwine’s The Bachelor n all that shyt had been out at the point of All About The Benjamin’s release.

This song was started in 1996 though and Styles is on neither version. Missy already had a relationship with Puff prior to her doing the remixes. She was a writer, artist, and producer herself before the world knew her. Puff valued her opinion because he knew her background before she even had records out especially since she was there at Mary's My Life sessions.

I understand that. What I’m saying is she may have very well been his creative consultant when they did AATB. Based on the fact that by 96 she had already did a whole bunch of shyt wit Puff already and she wasn’t with Swing Mob since 95.

She wasn't working with Total at the time. This was right after she left Da Bassment and around the time of her doing the Gina Thompson remix, working on One In A Million, and "Steelo". From my understanding, Missy like Busta, was randomly at recording sessions. I remember Mary talking about writing "Be Happy" and songs from My Life and saying Missy was there.

100% incorrect breh

missy was the one who chose the benjamins beat to begin with

lol @ missy being at random sessions like busta. shes a producer and busta a artist

it aint random breh, its called networking and recording

same reason busta got biggie/jdilla records

missy been around since uptown records

That's not what I meant by random. What I'm saying is hearing them tell the story, she showed up and basically put the song together. Like, she really wasn't there on some "Yeah, Puff called me to make this song and this is how it's going down", but more like she may have been at the studio while they were making the song and she gave her input. I'm sure Puff respected her opinion because he knew her, but The LOX didn't know her at that time if I'm comprehending their recollection of the story correctly:

I remember we first got there with Puff. Me, Kiss, and Styles walked in the room and there was this girl in there and shyt,” said Sheek. “And they was listening to that beat. At first I didn’t like it…She was talking to me like she knew me. ‘Yo, let me hear you rap to that.’ ‘First of all, who are you?’ She’s dancing and shyt. She’s making beatboxing noises and shyt while she like ‘Yo, let me hear you spit something to this.’ So, I said ‘alright’…So, I did my first verse—‘strictly tryna cop those’—it wasn’t even for that. I did it. Styles did something; she was like ‘meh.’ Jada did a verse to it. I swear to God, no diss to Styles. That’s my brother. Jada did his verse and shyt she was like ‘Yo.’ He [Styles P] ain’t on the record and shyt. And then she was like ‘You gon’ go here, you gon’ go here, y’all two, you and Kiss, gonna write Puff’s verse.’ Then she just walked off beatboxing. Later on that was Missy Elliott…But we didn’t know that was her. She put the whole ‘Benjamins’ together.”

Also when people talk about "stolen" production credits, Missy Elliott really was robbed. What she did for "It's All About The Benjamins" is a production credit because she basically put this song together even though she didn't make the beat. Without her, it wouldn't even be the song that it is. I wouldn't even be surprised if that "it's all about the benjamins, baby" wasn't her brain child as well considering it sounds like something Missy would do. Same goes for the Kim line "wanna bumble with bee huh, bzzzz".

She chose the beat too.

First off styles is in my top 5 rappers ever...
He close to maybe 3 or 4...
He's my favorite out of all of them.
So I was always curious why he wasn't on the song... Thought it probably would be too long.

But side note... In my random ass life.. I randomly met a nikka who is sueing missy for millions.
I think he said she stole his beats or stole some songs...I can't remember.

But we had madd time to kill. So he told me the whole story.
I hope he wins his case:yeshrug:

Because she was making classics on classics and is one of the rare artists that can make a song from beginning to end and do everything herself :dahell:
