People forget that Kurt has not one but TWO league MVPs. The third SB appearance with the bum ass Cards was just the cherry on topCacs put Kurt Warner in the HOF who had one of the biggest falloffs in NFL history and also benefited from a historically "stacked" roster. They'll 100000% put Eli and Stafford in there as well.
But a 10x Pro Bowler and Superbowl Champion that has a Top 5 passer rating isn't worthy of being in there.
And nikkas act like Russ isn't a massive overacheiver and trailblazer either. 4th round QB who beat out the veteran the Seahawks handed $30m to in training camp and was a winning QB despite his height limitations.
Of the QBs drafted in the early 2010s, no one had a better career than him.
Their OC was trash. Marshawn, LOB, and Russ saved that team. Receivers weren't all that eitherI'm just confirming that I remember the interview years back when Marshawn said Russ asked him if he wanted the ball and he said to run the play as called.
They were mad at Russ because they thought the coaches wanted him to be the hero. He didn't call the play so why be mad at him? Just shows the jealousy they had for him.
I've been saying that was the first play they should have ran at the goal line. Everyone knew the ball was going to Marshawn. If they faked it the entire defense collapses in the middle and Russ walks into the end zone untouched.
I'm trying also to find the interview where Marshawn himself said Russ asked him about audibling to a run play and he (Marshawn) said no.
there's goofies out there who think Russell audibled from a run to a pass play.![]()
at around 2:30 mark he talks about it"What certain individuals were thinking at the time is just not the situation that we needed to be in. Like should I change it? With Russell [Wilson thinking] should I change the situation or can I get it handled?
"I'm looking at it like, I've seen Russell do some [expletive] that hasn't been done before. At the end of the day, I'm not too concerned about if some [expletive] can get done, because if it's anybody that can make some magic happen, it's this [expletive.] Because I've seen him do it on my occasions before. The honest to God truth is, sometimes I think, 'do you think you should have audibled?'
"At the end of the day, I'm not mad at him or who called the [play.] But I'm going to tell you like this, when that play was called, and I saw the expression on the other 10 guys' faces in there ... when they heard the call ... they looked right at me. And I'm looking like *claps* break. What y'all want me to do?"
Sherman is a weirdo who is in his own world if he's seriously believing this nonsense. We all know he wouldn't be putting on this act if Russell Wilson was a white qb. It's tiring watching people tear down another black man like this. We never had this many people attack other aging QBs like this and starting to feel like this is mainly happening due to his skin color or possibly not being one of the boys. I did remember there was articles about seahawks players saying he's not black enough and that is such a dangerous discussion.
Weren't they just checking down a that stage? Brees #1 wr was literally referred to as slant boy. And Brady was throwing to a receiving group of Evans, AB, Godwin and Gronk lolI mean Brady and Brees was still gunning it at 40
Negative Mike Thomas ran the slant less than most WRs. And Brees had two money ball throws at 40...still went 3,900 27 TDs in 12 games with a 74% completion parcentageWeren't they just checking down a that stage? Brees #1 wr was literally referred to as slant boy. And Brady was throwing to a receiving group of Evans, AB, Godwin and Gronk lol
bytch ass shyt. I got a legit enemy in mind that I wouldn’t bat a eye if I heard he got hit by a bus and died today. But in no way would I ever think of doing some shyt to affect his employment and how he feed his family. You can get paid to talk shyt about whoever. I get it. But trying to talk down your former teamate (s fellow black man) out of being in the hall of fame. Super bytch sss shyt. Especially given the history of black qbs. If you don’t think he hall of fame.. whatever, but he speaking like a bytch. I always thought bro was gay or some shyt . He always had different tendencies that is just mad feminine

I never understood that take. He's been the same guy since NC State. Everyone wants their QB's to act like presidential candidates except for Russ apparentlyGOAT post in this thread

Russ never was on farve or Rodgers level of qb. MVP level and farve still was great at the jets and he was also great in the Vikings. If his late career "plays him out the Hall Of Fame", that means he was never going in anyway.
Anybody else with the first decade of their career comparable to Russell's, is locked in.
How is the end of Aaron Rodgers' career going? What was the end of Favre's career like, and speaking of Favre, talk about a guy who had virtually all his success in the beginning...
Marino wasn't bouncing team to team but did he have some stellar ending?
A lot of what's happening to Russ is on him, similar to Basketball Russ, in an underrated way. He doesn't work well with others and alienates people around him. Whether teammates, coaches, etc. But lets stay keeping it real, somebody had to QB the team with the legendary defense. I'm the biggest LOB Homer there is, yall know I stand on, LOB is THE greatest defense in NFL history...
But name me a legendary defense that didn't have a legendary QB outside of the '85 Bears. Was Bradshaw a great QB (for his era), or was he carried by an iconic defense? Or does that only apply to Russ?
Russ should get into Canton. If he doesn't, no tears from me, this man gets to fukk on Ciara the rest of his life, has a net worth of $165 million, and has a Super Bowl ring. I won't be shedding tears if he doesn't get in...
But if the question is 'should' he get in, absolutely fukking yes. In his prime you're only undebatably putting the last stretches of Manning, Brady, Rodgers, and Brees over him. Russ was certainly better than everybody's new HOF guy Stat fukking Padford!
All the pieces worked because of each other but we not taking nothing away from Sherman. All-Time great corner on the greatest defense to ever exist.
Russ also deserves his flowers for the LOB run, somebody had to be the QB.
But if I was making an argument for LOB contributions over Russ, its that when LOB was in the midst of the greatest defensive run ever (4x consecutive #1 scoring defense 2012-15; still #3 scoring defense in '16), the Hawks went to two Super Bowls and had a .700 win percentage (11.2 wins/year), with an 8-4 playoff record---->when the Hawks declined and Russ was a legit Top 5 QB 2017-21 (and he ascended to Top 5 level in '15), the Hawks were still a .615 win percentage (9.8 wins per16), but missed the playoffs twice and had a 1-3 playoff record.
Russ also threw the game winning touchdown. LOB absolutely kept them in that game, but Russ threw the game winning touchdown.
He absolutely messed up the throw tho. He didn’t put the ball on his body and gage butler a shot at it.And it's not even like Russ fukked it up or threw a terrible pass. Malcolm Butler just made a great play
People keep saying this, but somehow he's the only one ain't saying shyt about no one publicly. It's somehow ALWAYS the same group throwing shots. At some point we gotta flip the a$$hole narrative if he ain't pop fly about none of them nikkas the whole time.
If I was Russ I would've BEEN let it leak that he asked Marshawn if he wanted the ball on the goal line and Marshawn said no to it. Russ let all of them rock with that goofy narrative for years, they even was dapping up Pete since then, and letting Russ still somehow be the villain in the story.
Russ suburban ass being the only thorough non chatty patty ass person on that whole team wouldn't have been something I believed back then, but it's true. Him and Earl the only ones who are stand up from the whole crew of folks.
Lunch never said that shyt.I did a Google search trying to find it and he doesn't mention it in that interview. Just mentioned how he laughed in Pete Carroll's face. I think there's a Mandela Effect with that statement.
