You and others on this site bring up Jordan's 6 Final MVP's at every argument as to why he's the GOAT and better than Lebron, but now want to say those same MVP's have less importance.

This is a fair point. Ring talk and finals MVP talk is lame but at least you can kinda understand since players play both ways.

The way QBs are measured (and only QBs) should be familiar to NBA fans.

It's not hard to understand why Eli gets an (undeserved) boost.

I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy of people who pick and choose the conversation of when ring talk and finals MVP apply and when it doesn't.

All you have to do is search the Coli for posts by Chicago about LeBron's finals record. For LeBron losing finals is one of the reasons he's below Jordan.

Then see how earlier in this thread the energy changes and Chicago was boosting Russ for a SB appearance he lost (and ended with his int).

The problem with that is that you many times in your essays and including others on this site have placed importance on winning rings and performing when it matters most above all

I made a comment about Finals MVPs/Super Bowl MVPs, and then you come talking about something different winning and performing well in the biggest moments matters, duh. This ain't the gotcha moment you think it is.

With Eli you have to juxtapose his Super Bowl wins and performances against the fact that literally nowhere else in his career matches those performances. He wasn't a consistent playoff riser, and he wasn't a consistently great regular season player.

Everybody knows this so the Eli conversation just comes down to if you value those two Super Bowls more than the rest of his career.

You do. I don't. And anyone with a career akin to Eli's, I'd feel the same way about.

But you have all day, go find the essay I've written where I've ever used Finals MVPs or Super Bowl MVPs to make a Hall case for anybody. That's a different statement than saying that your playoff resume matters. Start now, because its gonna take you awhile
