Drake on the other hand was literally lauded for bringing lyricism back to Hip Hop..he has gone above and beyond to build his brand and his credibility on being an MC and not just a showman or some kinda producer/talent curator like a Dr. Dre.

Keeping it strictly rap related if it came out that Proof wrote the majority of Eminem's raps his credibility would be shot...not because nobody has ever had a ghostwriter, but because his selling point was his talent as a rapper.

At this point I look at ghostwriting like folks look at street cred... There's MMA and then there's WWE. Eazy never tried to lay public claim to a LEGIT consideration as a top lyricist, though. Drake has, repeatedly. That's the fact which undermines your argument about "selective criticism". It's not "picking and choosing" when the premise operates under two separade ideals.
