The average gpa of people applying to the colleges I wanted to go to was 4.0 :mjcry:

It made me look like I had a low gpa since I only had one of 3.3 . If I hadn't took those honors classes and joined my school's magnet program I probably would have gotten a higher gpa since the regular classes at my school was easy.

Challenge yourself brehs:mjcry:

I got into two of the schools I wanted but
I didn't go since I didn't wanna leave home and UC's are expensive as fukk.

Ended up going to a CSU but the good thing is I won't have student debt.:blessed:

So much competition.

Because for the 100 time college is a racket. All they want is money...anybody can get in if the have that loan money...
Naw college is a legit life experience imo and worth it if you pick the right major.
I graduated from a top 100 university with zero debt.

ADDING ON TO THE PREVIOUS POST:

I will suggest you not attend a four year institution because your low gpa is indicative of your maturity. You will more than likely fail out quickly. It doesn't matter whether you are just lazy or dumb. There is no different between a lazy 2.0 student and a dumb 2.0 student. They share the same record. If you couldn't complete easy HS work, college is a step higher than HS (at-least the university I attended), and will require you to be a hard worker and smart. All you'd end up doing is wasting your time.

Take a few classes at a CC and work so that you can have some perspective. Move out of your parents home as well because that may be a factor in your laziness. Rely on yourself.

I don't think this is necessarily true, it really depends on why you got a low GPA.

I only graduated with a 2.8 (despite a high ACT/SAT) and I didn't struggle at all in university. Did about the same in college that I did in high school (found it easy, but was too lazy to do all of the assigned work so graduated with about a 2.8). Was never really in any danger of failing out.

A 2.8 is low, but can get you into university with a good ACT/SAT, however, that is not the same as having a 2.0 and average ACT/SAT (or even high).

Level of difficulty of college is also dependent on major and college. I went to a good private university and it was pretty difficult because I chose physics as my major, not to mention the university is known to be difficult. If you choose communications, English, sociology, or any of the liberal arts as your major, college is basically a Sunday walk through the park.

If you attend UAB or some other low-end university majoring in liberal arts, college is a waste of time. You can make close to 6 figures working in IT or doing Nuclear Technician work which only requires 2 years of school.
