Not to downplay the loss of Black life because its bad when any of us die...But the genocide phase was in the 80's and early 90's...Violent crime is down drastically in every major city...

Your anecdotal stories about the 5 n1ggas that got shot would have been trippled years ago...

We talk about Chicago being a war zone and call it "Chiraq" but the reality is in 2014 there were 430 murders while in 1992 there were 940 murders...

Part of the problem is these old heads running around lying about how crazy and violent young folks are and how they would rather shoot than fist fight...The whole "back in our days" narrative which is totally untrue...

It's the n1ggas Puffy's age that were running around acting like serial killers in the hood...Young Black males aren't perfect put its gotten a whole lot better since the height of the crack era...

I always said that the Baby Boomers started the fukkery, but Gen Xers done fukked up black America as a whole. The super thug, super hustler, super ignorant nikkas from that era done tore up our communities with crack.

No doubt the black on black violent crime rate has dropped, but look at how bad it still is. And you have to take into consideration that with all these news networks and social media, even if it's not as bad as people make it seem we are constantly in the forefront because of these news networks or because we get on social media and make ourselves look like fools, all day everyday. You would think we would have enough sense to sit the fukk down and try to change how we are viewed. I know "fukk what these people think...blah blah" but when these CACs and foreigners control everything it does matter what others think, to an extent.

At this point in time what is the reason for the murders? There usually is no reason at all. And no, $10-$20 is not a reason no matter how back someone's pockets are hurting. Like I said in a thread yesterday it's usually about absolutely NOTHING. Looking at somebody, a woman, I couple dollars...It's not even about money and drugs no more but I can almost guarantee if you live in a major city or around one you can heard of a black on black murder damn near daily.

We are a complex people put in a even more complex situation by those that oppressed us breh...Some of the things we can say and joke about with each other that DOESNT end in bloodshed as a people is crazy and beautiful..On the flip we can also be sum of the most prideful cant take a L people on earth... some of the things we have pride about and refuse to take a L on makes you scratch your head in the grand scheme....i know better but still find myself getting into altercations with strangers over what i percieve as disrespect and sumtimes outright disrespect....its just just a hard habit to break.

Valuing your respect as a man is admirable in some ways,but maybe we need to be more careful how we instill that in our kids and each other...its alot of "Dont let nobody ever disrespect you"....with not alot of convo about "Pick your battles"....Comin from where alot of us come fron we probaly need to be more careful with that....consequences are much greater than in the suburbs when u have that thinking..

it was empoweing in the 1950's when fistfighting was the thing to do,and it would be empowering now if cats was still just fistfighting...but its dangerous now....dont gotta raise punks but pick your battles and decide if its worth dying about is what the younger generation hopefully gets instilled in them by they parents....dont just tell your kid they cant come back home after a azzwhupping unless they go beat the bullys azz.


Better ask your kid "Whats the bullys name?" first...and see what the reputation is about,then send they azz back out side accordingly?....or tell em ":whoa"We'll get you a new jacket"

I called it problem for lack of a better word.. But to simply label it a problem would be an understatement... I don't have the answers to change the mindsets of people.... All you can do is start over with the young...
