I enjoy making original music. Your sarcastic question is pointless. It suggest that if it's so easy, why won't i do it. That's a cool question,if you're insinuating that. However, you're totally ignoring the facts i layed down,so...........

:wtf:

It was a simple question.

"I enjoy making original music" was all that was needed. I wasn't even being sarcastic.

because that sounds like shyt

this is an example of someone sampling and then PLAYING it themselves through the MPC

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-MLp3l2fkA"]Craig Mack - Flava In Ya Ear (Origin) Full size High quality - YouTube[/ame]

RZA did this a lot too, he would sample something, cut it all up on the ASR and then play it back in his own way with the keys.

people used (and still do use) samples because they don't have access to a band or people that can play a bunch of instruments. you think Marley Marl could get a drummer, bass player, etc all in his bedroom in Queens when he was making classic songs? it was a way to get more authentic sounds instead of wack ass drum machine stock sounds. you think labels were giving rappers huge budgets for them to get a gang of session players & studio time to record songs?

Breh... right now you can add 30 virtual instrument tracks to a session and easily make it sound like an orchestra. You don't need session players. Where you need to sample to make it sound like an orchestra is... when you can't play shyt for yourself... it's a cop out. Dudes don't need to hire 26 viola players... get in that viola patch and get it popping. They can't. They need to sample cause they weak as shyt. Hence all the complaints in this post. Dudes want to be a part of the culture so bad but can't contribute shyt on their own.

:pacspit:

I reject that deposit.

Weak ass talented fukk nikkas.

Get a trade or a skill.

Gun Repair/TV VCR/Pottery... it's plenty of shyt for you dudes that's not built to be musicians.

:snoop: neptunes sample a lot of shyt...A LOT of shyt...

They don't really sample a lot..... They interpolate a lot of shyt though.

cotdamn y'all nikkas need to stop crying.
Finding a good sample, and make a GREAT SONG out of it is as creative as create a beat from scratch.. Stop playing yourselves.

When you create a beat from zero, chances are, you're using the same chord progression somebody already used anyway :yeshrug:

You just played yourself right there. You're telling me a dude that can buy a software and just trigger random note is talented? You respect that my 10 year old nephew can download a random vst and make a souljaboy type beat? :what:

If you take away that dudes 808 drumkit (not even a real 808, a drumkit sample) and VST's and put him in the room with a grand piano, drum set and bass guitar he would be lost. I guarantee Dilla, Preemo and P. Rock would smoke him. You really think these cats cant slam out a tune on real instruments?
