i'm one of those dudes who's weight is always going up & down. i've probably been 'fat' about 4 different times in my life

but i've been on a cut diet since June & been getting good results...eating roughly 2000 calories a day, and bodyweight in grams of protein. don't have to restrict carbs or fats as long as if fits my macros. and i'm actually enjoying food alot. i never eat anything that tastes 'nasty' except oatmeal once in a while

before this i tried intermittent fasting, the paleo diet (wtf, you cant eat nuts or green beans?), low carb. all hard to stick with for a long period of time...

plus i lift 5x a week and run 3-5 miles everyday, sometimes twice a day.

sometimes the scale doesnt show it, but the fat's been coming right off.

the stickied threads in this forum have helped too....its definitely mostly diet though for losing weight, and as long as you keep a high protein/caloric deficit, you're good

Being disciplined is the hardest part. Folks go hard for 3-4 months and then fall off. Doing it every day, every week, every month, every year is what separates the real nikkas from the new year/summer resolution folks.

Do your thing OP:lift::cheers:

Yep.

I dont know any other way at this point.

You know ur doing it right when you could probably miss a few weeks and not lose bunch of muscle or have it turn to fat.

Not exactly bro. I go thru intervals where I nearly fall off, because I've accomplished all my goals. To some degree I actually understand why people fall off. Especially if they lose X amount of pounds....

With that being said, I think the most I've taken off from working out in the past 4 years, is less than a month.

Yeah But You're Human, You're Gonna Have Those Moments, But Once It Becomes Routine And You're More Educated On The Right Way To Eat It's Alot Less Likely To Fall Off As Opposed To Someone Who's Dieting

once you become aware to what food actually is from a numbers standpoint, nothing will ever be the same again

its those who never quite understand this that relapse

lifting is a different animal tho, too much time off and youd be surprised how much strength can fall off
