I wasn't born yet. My mom was a single parent teacher. It was about $150....Sometime in the 80s.

I had my sisters get my parents gifts and my mom pick for my sisters...since i had to work at the theater back to back. plus i gotta go after xmas to get the rest of the people gifts. But when she got her gift this morning she not only complained about mine but every gift she got from a member of our family. said nobody worked as hard as her on xmas so i got up and gave her gift she gave me right back told her to get the money back and buy what she wanted shes 17 how you gonna act like that during xmas. im terrible at gift giving but at the same time at least i try i even discussed with our mom with what to get her.

You shouldn't be surprised by what happened because someone doesn't act like this overnight. Sounds like she has been spoiled for most of her life and even at 17, she feels entitled to certain things. Unfortunately, I think it's too late to teach her otherwise.

Thats what im saying....parents back then didnt cave into our demands. I didnt grow up with a spoon in my mouth like some kids. I was just happy with anything I got for Christmas.If I got a coat,shirt,basketball,video game that was a luxury. This is why I appreciate hard work now. Yea previous generation had issues but they raised us the best they could this generation all screwed up....

Were the first Gen of parents that had affirmative action, and civil rights.
Right when the government started the discoveryzone.
To make it how it is now, and strip away affirmative action.
Plus to win the war of old money versus new money.
So if they applied Themselves they should have been okay.
The problem is,...what were your parents doing.
Then deflecting onto you when. They did not execute.
Plus had affirmative action, eic, palimony/alimoney, welfare, and cs.

A lot of them took their checks and put it in a stem, or up their arm.
Played like a fukking bigahot and never got educated and they were giving out diploma's they actually honored from any black university.
Where it was like 2500for two semesters.

I see what your saying but this generation is messed up though. Kids cant lead themselves. Its the parents,yes they had issues but you got to admit this younger generation (the kids who grow or grew up with internet in their house most of their years) are spoiled brats. Im assuming your an older cat but you even notice this at work,there is an entitlement generation that didnt do **** to feel that way

this Gen really does not have many popular toys or items.
That this Gen really covets like ours.
The shyt they like is pretty much low quality.
Plus in lower abundance.
Or a technology based service with a long shelf life.
So, real talk,....if you a parent and having issues.

Plus, did not do sumfin as a parent along the way.
That probably defies some sociological fact.
That our gen was exposed to.
So, I can not give you a pass.

nah it wasnt that bad shes into fashion so shes usedwearing hats with her outfits so i got her a style that she had especially got into earlier this year. I kinda wanted to add a victoria secret gift in there to but with her attiitude its not gonna happen. plus she got me a sweater i like it but it would have been fine either way im just happy she would think enough to get me something

Cut it up.

Put the pieces on her bed.

Say nothing else.

She's not entitled to shyt and if she's that much of an ingrate it shouldn't bother her that it's fukked up. Or, you could just take it back if you still have the receipt.
