And point blank - you can't have what you want all the time. The sooner they learn that, the better.

And we also shouldn't be encouraging them to compare themselves to the next kid, because that doesn't set a good pattern for their future, either.

No a kid will not give you a million things.
When you ask a kid what they want.

They will tell you what they exactly want, and it is short concise and finite.

it is not hard and our Gen should be the last to make excuses or talk about someone being spoiled.

I know I said above that it's the thought that counts but yeah....I'm a grown man I know Christmas is really about the kids but....

I'm not gonna lie, I just received the gift my father gave me........ He should probably just stop buying me gifts. I wouldn't be offended. I'm 5'6 122 pounds and he just got me an XXL olympic sweat shirt. Like dead ass, this joint is getting re-gifted or going to to the homeless or a thrift store....I have absolutely no use for it.

It's getting to the point where I'd rather have nothing than to receive gifts that are 4 sizes bigger than me, not something that even resembles something I'd wear....I dunno. then, let's say if you can not afford the gift.
Then you tell them, you can not get that.
Or you give them a portion of the money.
Then get with other people that are going to give your child a gift.
You tell them to give your child a certain dollar amount to foot the bill for said gift.
On Xmas,..you tell your kid you could not afford said gift.
So, you got together with the rest of the family.
To give that child money,..to get said specific gift.
When the money total is reached.

...you call the stores with child.
Using yp phone app, and find where the item is.
You drive or take trains, or bus it to store.
No matter how far it is and get said item.

Do what you used to do to get those Jordan's with your xmas money for your kids.
There is no excuse,....
Any nikka making an excuse is on complete bullshyt.

Any toy they are going to come out with.
You already witnessed the frenzy and joy to acquire.
