The crazy part is most ISP bundle cable and internet for cheap. Now, even if you just get internet, if you add Sling TV or FuboTV, the overall costs will be about the same as getting cable. Add in all of the subscriptions, and most cases, you're paying more than if you just had cable :dead:

I have access to every streaming service, but thru trading, I only pay the following:

$45 a month for 500Mbps internet with no data cap
$20 a month for youtube tv to watch sports (split with family members)
$80 a year for disney+, which I share with everyone and hardly watch
$1 a month for YT premium and YT music

still nowhere close to the $175 a month I was paying for cable back in the day.

the BEST thing about the subscription model we have no is no commercials. I cannot tolerate commercials in any form in the media I consume UNLESS it's live sports.

I'll forever steal all this shyt till they start hitting regular mfs with cases :manny:

I have streaming music, but I still hit the torrents and download everything I wanna keep. with streaming, ur just leasing music, and they can yank shyt away at any time. I need to have my own library.

Keep raising the prices on these streaming services like people too stupid to see they'd be paying cable tier fees again.

I pirated everything for fun back in the day. No problems going full Darkseid and using the Old Ways again if I have to. :birdman:

IRC and newsgroups. :heh: I’m too old to dedicate the time to download shyt like I did in my 20s. What’s 80 bucks a month to have a few subs? HBO max is free if you have att cell service, Netflix, hulu/disney/espn+, and Amazon prime which is insane value for the shopping alone is like 50 bucks for all of it. What else are people paying thru the nose for?

It never went anywhere..

but yeah I could see the avg person pirating a bit more then they do now.. but I don't think it will go back to the levels it use to be at. Streaming offers the avg folk too much convenience.
