To me, it comes down to Dirk being a better playoff performer then any other PF except for Duncan. He improves his scoring and rebounding in the playoffs(25/10 in the PS), is one of the best elimination game and game 7 performers of all time, and can close games like a guard.

I'd put him above Charles overall. Put Dirk, Malone, KG is any combination (1-3) and you wouldn't get much of an argument out of me. Its really that close between all three of them.
