We really in here comparing KD, Klay and Dray to Tyson Chandler and Jason Terry?
Dirk had absolutely 0 HoFs on his squad. I put his run 1st all time. That magical season was better than Hakeem's. The teams the Mavs took out on the way to the ring was unfathomable.
what about Jason Kidd?
Let's be reality, dirk was never on a team without great talent that wasn't super deepwhat about Jason Kidd?
Let's be reality, dirk was never on a team without great talent that wasn't super deep
Besides J Kidd, there is not a single HOF on that team. And kidd was like 103 years old that year. How many nba players have won the title in the dirk's fashion? Hakeem? Who else.
Magic, Bird, MJ wasn't carrying bums in their championship years that's for sure, Bill Russell never played with garbage ass players
Yall giving Dirk's example but at the end of the day if you go the Dirk route you better expect your team owner and GM to do things correctly
Besides J Kidd, there is not a single HOF on that team. And kidd was like 103 years old that year.
Dirk was the only all star
The heat had two HOF in prime time. Probably 3 if bosh doesn't get injured. Although it being the NBA, he might still make it. And all 3 was all stars that year
We will never in life see that again with how these teams teaming up
Kidd literally locked up everybody on the perimeter including b Roy, Kobe, bron and kd
plus hit nothing but timely 3sThe Mavs were the better team. They had depth which we didn't have at the that time.Heat fan, we had the better team,
Dirk and em just outplayed us that year. An incredible coach with dirk surrounded by great role players
We choked hard
One of the best playoffs run ever.
Y'all sounding like some real fukking casuals.
We gotta stop using that word around hereCan we put to bed the narrative that individual players win championships?Y'all sounding like some real fukking casuals.

He had a very talented squad built around him.
Jason Kidd is a future hall of fame PG
Tyson Chandler was a beast defensively.
Jason Terry was a former all-star and was money from the outside.
The Matrix was another former all-star that the Mavs had and did a very good job in defending the best players from the opposing teams.
The Mavs' roster was loaded with shooters. Beside the Lakers, they had greater depth than any other team in 2011 and had a top-ranked defense.
thats what I am saying, the way dirk's team won is a rare situation in nbaBesides J Kidd, there is not a single HOF on that team. And kidd was like 103 years old that year.

the only champions we acknowledge after dirk are the 2014 spurs.

I don't think people appreciate that 2 year run by the rockets enough, especially 1994.thats what I am saying, the way dirk's team won is a rare situation in nba
the lakers and celtics super teams were dominating the 80s, the pistons were pretty stacked also, then the 90s bulls took over, then the lakers with shaq and kobe.
11 mavs and 94 rockets are very rare examples, MAYBE tim duncan in 03 as manu and tony were not the all stars YET.
The formula is always the same, you need multiple all stars on your team to win a title, because there will always be a competitive team that either signs a few all stars or they draft excellent and build their star players.
