Listened to this today, they had me rolling talking about Buff being a gigolo

"So they're mostly young guys on the show, they dress cool, you know? So Buff, being Buff, of course shows up as he always does, you know, tight jeans and shirt that's really small. So the other dudes are like "dog, that's not gonna get over."

Konnan's commentary on that was hilarious to me. Disco has a good mind for the business too, what he was saying about smarks and kids being the only audience and how it's very hard to just be a "regular fan" if they exist at all today was on point.

Disco was very over in 98, I saw him as a jobber and joke when I first started watching WCW in 97 but by mid 98 I was a fan, and this is as a kid who thought it was real.
Idk how Konnan says half the shyt he says with a straight face

But yeah I agreed with everything Disco said. Dude is really smart. Wonder if Jarrett will give him a call?

He really fukked his career over by making a bad decision in 1998. He had verbally agreed to jump to the WWE, and he was all set to go, but at the last second he went back on his word and resigned with WCW for more money than Vince was offering. He took the short money over the long, because not only would he have been jumping to Vince at just the right time before the attitude explosion, but he burned that a bridge that vince didnt forget about. When WCW went out of business, he made sure to not hire Disco.
:ohhh: didnt know this happened. We missed out on some real good Disco fukkery in WWE. The level of disdain on Austin's face on their first encounter would have been :ohlawd:

yeah he called it the chartbuster..and it was over as fukk until hogan lobbied to give that finisher to brutus when he was the disciple who couldnt do the shyt properly to save his life :smh:
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that noticed Disciple's fukkery Stunner, I was always :wtf: when he did it.

Disco was a solid mid-carder in WCW, him trying to join the nWo was jokes to me. I was was :stopitslime: when them nikkas in TNA always tried to clown him.

Great thread! I remember this dude had a match where there was a mirror in the corner and he was so busy checking himself out in the mirror that he didn't hear the bell ring. His opponent (who I don't remember at all), walked up and hit him with a finisher and the match was over in like 15 seconds.

:wow: Disqo

Dude joined factions without being invited :troll: Dude LOVED his gimmick, it was so fukking corny but he LOVED it and the fans dug that shyt :wow: Just like Norman Smiley.

That's how gimmicks work, you got to LOVE what you are doing. Some of these new wrestlers just don't seem to enjoy the gimmick and just want the wins; tv time. :mjpls:
