lmao i knew it would be these scenes.

there was a period between the 50s-80s where they was basically broke as fukk and a bunch of shyt got reused.

then lion king/little mermaid/beauty and the beast + pixar saved they studio

also hand drawn animation is expensive as fukk, it's why they don't even do it anymore.

This is common in animation, it's a way to save money and lower production time

A lot of animation is recycled. Even from different companies and medias

Ay look what I noticed

So I was watching openings minding my business, and this one had a segment that caught my attentive eye...

Immediately I'm like I KNOW this is that Spider-Man vs Electro scene from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (terrible movie btw, but some fantastic action sequences). See yourself:

:gucci: I had no idea studios did that, even if it makes sense. I was under the impression everything was made from scratch.

Is it something that is common? Taking a scene from a movie as a reference and straight up drawing it?

It's about efficiency. Pretty hand drawn animation is a gruelling work.

Now if I saw that shyt in a Miyazaki movie :scust:

If somebody found something that works, why not reuse it. That's what? 30 seconds out of an 1 1/2 hour movie. They still have to transpose their characters into it.
