I can't relate. Both my mom and dad grew up where they were called "******s" to their face and even spat on . My mom said when she was a cheerleader, the white people would turn their backs when they started cheering. Both my parents always try to warn me against racism and how to fight it especially in the work place. Thank god for having non-c00ning parents

Oh ok well if you still want to hear my perspective, I actually sympathize with people like your mother believe it or not. I view those kind of the blacks as a "know not what they do" kind of ilk and try to explain white supremacy and how it affects our everyday lives to the best of my ability without getting riled up ( and trust me it's hard). When they don't want to hear what you're saying, just charge it to the game. Every black person that lives in America either will or has already gotten their Negro wake up call and it's up to that individual to either learn from it or ignore it, there's really nothing us conscious black folks can do about it

It seems that your mom worrying about what other white people think about them and she tires to be a good neighbor to the white suburb that she wants to be friend with them, etc. Your mom was like "We gotta respect them, it is their property".



When your mom told you to be careful cause she just heard about shootings in Pittsburgh so of course, she's your mom and very concerned about you. She might be right about black shooting other black people cause that shyt happens everyday.

I think your mom did the right thing to say it because she doesn't want you to find the reason to angry with white cops that might cost your life and that's why she said, " no it's about black men shooting other black men" shyt just reminds you that you gotta watch your back from black people too.

She doesn't want you go focus on white cop like you're on your way to Pittsburgh with on the only white cops when the cops can find the reason to stop you and pull over or ignoring black people when they can be on bullshyt shyt to attack you, rob you, jump you, etc.

I think I understand your mother. She's the mother that doesn't want to lose his son over anything. She loves you.

Me too. I used to be sick of it when my parents kept telling me to be careful, all the time like they preach to the choir and I felt offended, etc. I always thought they don't trust me cause I have never been in trouble with the law, etc or whatever but maybe trouble as a kid do dumb shyt but as a grown man like damn, they still treat me like a kid, etc. I always talk back with my smart mouth just like you said with your smart mouth to your mother.

The more I watch the news with the all, Oscar Grant III, Mike Brown, Trayon, or some guy in the Wal-Mart, even black on black, etc so that shyt hits me so I understand why my parents very worried about it. Their parents probably said the same thing to their kids what your mother just told you.

as far as disappoints go...I learned in the weed thread just how much it costs. that made me disappointed in a few people. I thought weed cost like maybe $5-20 for a weeks worth. they're spending hundreds of their rent/food budget on weed when they have kids
