I know reggae and Hip Hop have been brought together in the past, but not quite like this. Also the symbolic qualities of having the son or arguably the greatest reggae artist and 1 of the greatest Hip Hop artists was ill. It emphasized further the concept of unity within the album, so many positive attributes to the album.

The I in Team
Nah Mean!!!! Classic :ohlawd::ohlawd:

Nas verse on that :whew: flow. The internal rhymes, the beat, Damian...man this album has aged well. Must listen music for black excellence month.

"We celebrate like I finished probation, boy boy,
Natty head with no chaser, boy boy,
From the mouth I can spit out a razor, boy boy,
Open up your facial like your boy Roy
In his prime, eat food, dinnertime
Jr. gong pass the Guinness, handle business, black velvet sippers
Females never bid us farewell, they with us
Cause we arrive on the scene
Just like a high beam, nah mean
Don't let us have to make the 9 scream, nah mean"

Love this album. seeing them perform live was something special. Leaders was my shyt:blessed:

I'd not long joined here, new to the board, and remember praising this album to the heavens. @Art Barr and @Big Mel went at my throat something terrible for doing so :sadcam::damn:

Still maintain this album heat rocks :ahh:

I do agree Damien was the major presence oh this though, he absolutely murdered this album:wow:

What happened to Damien after? I haven't heard much at all and I was very much anticipating his next works after this. His Welcome To Jamrock album was great though.

He released a compilation and was on quite a few songs. It was dope.

EDIT:it's called set up shop. Just released part 2 was released December

If you haven't heard it, you need to check Stephen marley's Revelations part 1. Dropped 3 or 4 years ago, it's dope.

I've been waiting on part 2 ever since, but it keeps getting delayed.

Tetsuo and Youth says hello. Only album better than it since this magnum opus was released

Personally I think Distant Relatives was significantly better. I was thinking of making a comparison thread though as I've seen a few people say 1 of the best albums of 2010's so was interested to see what people would pick.

I'mma try hear that, I think Damien Marley is extremely talented, I think he could be an elite level artist with more work.

Album is an all time classic. Am very proud of this album and to like it. Seems some people want todislike anything that isn't formulaic. I'm gonna praise this album as it deserves to be and don't care what anyone else says, will continue to do so.
