I'll never understand how people say he's the best scorer in the league but he hasn't won any scoring titles..shoots the lowest Percentage amongst the real best scorers (lebron...Durant..Kobe..etc)...no MVPs...like how is he the best scorer? Just because he can play post and shoot a lot at a lower Percentage does not make him the best scorer. If he had all these tools that nobody else has...how come hes never led the league? What's the point if you can't even apply the shyt on a high level compared to the others?

Lebron and Durant have been the best scorers in the league for a minute...they have he higher percentage to point ratio.

I agree with most of what you're saying and I believe Melo can still carry a team when he wisens up and adjusts his game. The same thing happened to Nique later in his career but he switched up his game too late because the pieces in Atlanta had already been moved for the most part. The Nique\Carmelo comparison is spot on.

I also think the biggest mistake that NY made was thinking that Amare would be an anchor\franchise piece for their organization. Every one in D'Antoni's system in Pheonix looked better than they actually were, and too top it off, Amare's knees were already suspect.

With that being said, the Woodson needs to make sure that Amare gets the bulk of the touches because quite frankly, if Amare aint scoring, he's borderline useless because he is not going to contribute in any other aspect. No Boards, No D, Nothing

That's the problem with NYK. They have 2 scorers who can't do anything else and only one of them can have the ball at a time.

I really don't know why they let Lin go. He was a playmaker who could distribute and create his own shot if they needed.

I would much rather have Lin and Melo or Lin and Amare than Melo and Amare. That combo just doesn't work.

Lebron had to go to a team with two stars to win though not taking anything away from him but Melo wont ever win because he's a ballhog and he's al about him Lebron distributes the basketball 27,7,7 a game for his career is pretty imrpressive.
