You can claim Atl fans are this and that but Smith has been to the 2nd round like 4-5 times and Melo has only been once. Smith can give you assists and 15-18ppg as well as great defense and he's a defensive anchor. I would take Smith over Melo.

exactly...they were playing a glorified Rec team... won by a record 83 points...hit a record 29 3's...and this should somehow disprove the criticism that Melo gets for not being as successful as he should.......

I watched Bron do that shyt for an entire series and get criticized (38,8,8). Mike did if for an entire season (37 ppg) and still caught shyt. Kobe damn near did it for a season (35 ppg) and caught shyt. But somehow Melo doin the shyt for one game against a team that was no competition with a bunch of all-pros by his side proves something and should just put an end to the criticism? Of top what is Mikes best scoring game in the Olympics? Kobe's? Don't search for it name it off the top of your head like you can name 63 and 69 and 81. Translation what is done in the Olympics really has no bearing on how a player is viewed and really doesn't prove anything so for nikkas to try to use it to do those things for Melo is just sad. Melo fans need to stop being sensitive cheerleaders and actually hold the nikka accountable and then maybe he might actaully start showing and proving more often. All the critcism is nothing more than a tribute to his talent just like it was with those other guys I mentioned. If it wasn't obvious that he COULD do better nikkas wouldnt' expect him to actually DO better.
