He also said he was moving him to a private hospital. There are certain hospitals in NY you don't want to go to if something happens, they're not all the same.

When you check in they run your insurance. If you have the means to pay for treatment that isn't covered you should tell them early. He messed up not being up front about his finances. You see he's now moved to a private hospital because he's paying for it. A millionaire businessman with no fame is walking into a hospital and getting transferred to a private room immediately because he's letting them know he has the means to pay for it.

Keep in mind we're hearing from his brother not his doctor. We don't know whether he was almost dead.
