I'll be honest and this is coming from one of if not the biggest drama king fan in this thread

DJ Kay Slay is not famous. He is a hip hop figure and we love him but the idea a hospital is like "oh wow you're dj kayslay the guy from terrestrial radio and mixtapes, here is the real medicine and treatments" just does not sound plausible. I'm sure his brother feels that was an influence, and I wasn't there, but I don't see how it could've gone down like that...he isn't a celebrity like that

not saying a hospital knows anything about him. just an abnormal amount of interest about one random patient. that's why i said clout and not fame or celebrity. im fully aware of how niche he is, LOL.

That's not what he he said. He said he was getting "average treatment." I don't know what kind of medical coverage he has but if your insurance isn't covering things you get the average things they'll pay for. They probably offered more options based on what he could afford to pay out of pocket.

My wife went to the hospital for a broken femur and tested positive for Covid. She is immunocompromised so they gave her monoclonal antibodies the next day. They will give that treatment to just about anybody that has one or more of the commorbadies(sp?) they consider higher risk, even if the person is asymptomatic, until they run out, which they did shortly after administering it to my wife. Kay is obese, so he qualifies for the antibodies if they have them available, really nothing to do with fame.

If Kay Slay survives this, the rehabilitation efforts will need to be extensive. Long lasting effects for the rest of life are in play as well. The long-term physical and mental consequences of COVID are still not considered enough.

Kay should’ve been vaxed due to the comorbid disorders he had, plus his age. I would argue that the cumulative stress of being a black man in America also is a negative on the immune system and another reason to get protected.
