Just listened to a few cuts nothing in-depth it sounds ok Muggs needs to hop off the minimalist production :francis:

not saying it’s wack but this wave of picking samples and not chopping them up is getting out of pocket
I'm definitely ready for more variety.

It's a shameless plug, but check Khrysis' album dropping next month. There's a lot of guests ranging from early 90's to modern. It's an album for the jeeps. Hard, punchy drums, chopped samples, and bounce all over. No hazy loops. Lotta really dope emcees showed up for it. I hope it gets some attention on here.

this dude is mid af
how tf is he workin with all these legendary ass producers :dahell:
Your be surprised how many elite producers like working with people that are just fun to work with in the studio. Especially if they’re up to experiment on different beats, and are easily coachable/produceable. All of that goes a long ways.

Producers don’t usually pick what artists they want to work with the way most listeners pick their favorite artists. They usually are a lot more forgiving on bars and stuff, and will gladly work with someone if they find something interesting in their voice, cadence, etc. Even if they aren’t elite.

Yep! I was listening to a long DJ Muggs interview. He said that he already very rich! He has a lot of real estate and doesn't really need money. He is now mainly working for art and looks for artists that put a lot of consistent work. Muggs had a phase between 2008 to 2015 were he was experimenting. I believe he did an album with Tricky.

°While he bleedin' in the gutter, cryin' pleadin' for his mother
In the jungles full on monkeys, hе was eatin' all the butter
Cops killin' us and walkin', blocks fillin' up with coffins
Eatin' propеr often while we creep with our portion
