The whole comparison is bogus. When you think about it, Mustard's "run" isn't even a run compared to The Neptunes. Ya'll do realize that The Neptunes had years of running the radio with monster hits. It wasn't just a few songs here and there with years between them making another Top 10. They continued a streak of hits from 2000-2006 with their peak being 2002-2003. Not only did they have the quantity, but some of them have not only held up, but were also chart-toppers. The same cannot be said about Mustard. I don't have anything against DJ Mustard, but his "run" doesn't even compare to The Neptunes' recent run let alone their run at their peak. It doesn't even compare to their competition.
