Dj Quik isnt quite a legend imo. Hes like the Blue Cheer of hip hop... hes a pioneer, very innovative, and has a few releases that have aged pretty well. but he's not a master at his craft, like RZA, Dre Premo etc. and he def doesnt have any classics under his belt.

Kanye has three cemented classics, and he's changed hip hop multiple times.

This was always the defense for Quik when people compared his work to Dr. Dre's, and it's just not the case. He's utilized a lot of co-producers and musicians throughout his career.
