It was for ONE single and only got released due to airplay..rest of album got shelved.

I don't like this comparison. Quik got seniority but not on Short's level. The comparison is sorta pointless.

He is NOT underrated...
The best thing non DJ Quik fans can say about him is that he has a "clean" sound...But hip hop in general ain't feeling DJ Quik like that...If it wasn't for his affiliation with Death Row, I don't think his sound would have ever left the LA area...
Dude doesn't have a banger that people who are not hardcore fans really know about...I can't even name a DJ Quik song, but I can name serveral Too Short songs...And I am from South Africa leaving in Canada....

Too Short is a legend as a rapper and Quik is a Legend as a producer.
Quik is an underrated EMCEE...I would go with Quik overall.
