Kool DJ Red Alert is the greatest radio DJ of all time! I can't even express fully how much of an influence he was on building my musical pallet at such an early age. He broke and started so many artists careers on his radio show on Kiss FM back in the 80's. He even was responsible for introducing dancehall to mainstream radio. He was the first DJ I could remember who did both the radio and clubs (ie Union Square, Latin Quarter) at the same time. He influenced many Hip Hop shows and DJ's that came after him (ie Funk Flex, Kid Capri, Clark Kent, Stretch and Bobbito). But more importantly, he always brought integrity, respect, and honor to the game. Thank you Red for impacting the culture in a significant way.

says he played The Bridge by Mc Shan...didnt front of the record. Tried to keep it cordial with him but Shan was acting shady. Those QB dudes :mjlol:. Red Alert alludes to catching Shan by himself and whooping his ass but wont tell the whole story :russ:

Down South if you had Red Alert Tapes. ......it was like being the foreign plug with coke :noah:

Back in the 80s and early 90s East Coast music was in such high demand......RED ALERT tapes was a commodity....

made a lot of friends cause I had them KISS tapes
