Man he added something to the track by putting samples in there and mixing the songs to mix in from the previous track, He would get a rapper to do a exclusive freestyle etc ..

Most Dj's just slow it down so their is nothing new or different about the song ...
of course he chopped it up but his mixing was dope
There is no way he could do all the dope NY mcs He liked alot of west coast too
i couldnt quite figure out why i didnt like other people's chops but i think this explains it.
