but that slowed down stuff came from tampa , florida


have u actually heard a jam poney/ slic vic mix...

nothing about them was slowed down...tapes drag overtime...but none of the tapes i have came across or heard....sound slowed down..

hell devin paid homage to em ..since he a florida boy

They are still a thing, but no like they used to be. Most songs can't be properly chopped and screwed anymore which is why a lot of DJs bowed out of doing so.
Labels got in the way, fukking up people’s artistry

Jam pony are south florida dudes, they don't listen to slowed down music .

I'm from tampa, dj's here been doing the slowed down since the late 80's on tapes and right now you can ride by any event, block party etc in tampa and will hear slowed down music.

The bass style dj's/rock it rod started it and later they hooked up with jam pony to do tapes together

I can't remember how we use to do it because it was so long but back in middle school everybody use to do something to the boom box to slow it down and we use to ride like that with it on the front of our bike

Poney had a couple of mixed...I kno vic did 400 degrees

It was another dj out that way...it was screwed ..but u can tell they were slow...I forgot the guyd namd..

I'm familiar with alot of yalls djsi
.they showed up to beach parties all the time handing out cds n flyers

i thought the 'bone thugs flow' was a memphis thing and then it got co-opted by the midwest via do or die, twista, bone thugz, etc
Freestyle fellowship were probably the first to use that flow



Twista was rapping fast in 91 and possibly even before that but it wasnt the same style he used in the mid 90s.

CHOPSTARS still active..and the only ones keepin everything relevant...

im glad syrup shop n the other clicks fell to the waist
