Poney had a couple of mixed...I kno vic did 400 degreesJam pony are south florida dudes, they don't listen to slowed down music .
I'm from tampa, dj's here been doing the slowed down since the late 80's on tapes and right now you can ride by any event, block party etc in tampa and will hear slowed down music.
The bass style dj's/rock it rod started it and later they hooked up with jam pony to do tapes together
I can't remember how we use to do it because it was so long but back in middle school everybody use to do something to the boom box to slow it down and we use to ride like that with it on the front of our bike
Freestyle fellowship were probably the first to use that flowi thought the 'bone thugs flow' was a memphis thing and then it got co-opted by the midwest via do or die, twista, bone thugz, etc
CHOPSTARS still active..and the only ones keepin everything relevant...They are still a thing, but no like they used to be. Most songs can't be properly chopped and screwed anymore which is why a lot of DJs bowed out of doing so.
