fukk yes. Eminem just kills Spinna beats like no other, I would definitely love to hear an album like that.Always love for Spinna...what if....a dark Eminem all produced by Spinna? The possibilities!
This was the first Spinna joint I ever heard. I'd only heard Little Brother over 9th Wonder, Khrysis, and Nicolay, so it threw for a loop but it was so groovy. As far as producers is concerned he deserves to be mentioned with the Pete Rock's, Marley Marl's, and DJ Premiers of the world. He samples so many tracks and layers each element really meticulously. It's like you hear a Spinna production, you know what it is immediately. But he really cemented a signature sound in the mid/late 90s to early 2000s underground hip-hop scene. Not to mention producing for Jigmastas and Polyrhythm Addicts as well as De La Soul, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, and Busta Rhymes.
Still producing some of the best hip-hop today. Moreso Spinna been focusing on playing house music recently (he plays alot in NYC and has nightly residencies), another reason I respect the dude. Like Kenny Dope Gonzales and Armand Van Helden who dabbled in both hip-hop and house.
Spinna on the house tip...
