1.) He did train for it
2.)he was three tenths of a second off what it would take to qualify for the Olympics.
3.) having a non wind assisted PR by 3/10 of a second by an in shape, explosive adult just isn't in the realm of possibilities.

His time ranks him at 364 this year. 157 for adults.

He would need to run 10.16 to even qualify for the Olympic trials.

He's fast, but no where near the quality of an Olympic or even full time pro sprinter.

It's not a slight on him, but stop with the idiocy.
He started training in january

Dude put Jan through April training shoulder to shoulder to that of dedicated track athletes who train full time. :smh:

Can you smell the intellectual dishonesty or stupidity on that clown?

It can only be either or.

DK Metcalf could train for the next four years and not make the Olympics.

You are correct except he would have to run 10.06 to qualify for the Olympic trials

as well he was running in a heat no runner goes all out in a heat
If this was the final he would have got dusted even more

Yup there are dudes with personal bests under ten seconds who won’t even make the us Olympic squad this year
I just don't think people realize the immense gap between 10.37 and flirting with sub 10.

Marquise Goodwin is an actual Olympian in track and field, he ran a 10.24 coming out of high school, ran track in college, and was never a serious threat to be an Olympic level 100m sprinter.

People just want to believe they can be coached up for everything, but some things are just so raw talent oriented it isn't possible.

Point is, if he were a sprinter with four years of training PRIOR to this weekend’s event, he’d no doubt have had a faster time than what he showed.

you arent smart at all.

No one is arguing that. Folks are talking about his numbers based on the LACK of training and experience he CAME in with.

Your dumb ass put Jan thru April training shoulder to shoulder with full time sprinter training and years of experience.

Keep arguing the next four years of training and have just as dumb clowns dap an argument no one collectively made.

my god, you are a dunderhead

If he's at 190-200 he's going under 10 :yeshrug:

This 100%.

Being 6'4" is a disadvantage in a short race like the 100m unless you're Usain Bolt.

236 lbs puts him at a MINIMUM 50 lbs heavier than just about any elite sprinter. Sprinters have low body fat just like DK but they carry a lot less mass. It's like if a Bentley could accelerate as fast as a McLaren basically.

His height would be an issue but if DK was 190-ish like Randy Moss....dude would at least have a shot. That 10.36 might be closer to 10.16.

:what:
A sprinters body is = a football body
Where as a basketball body = distance runner body

Even someone like Russell Westbrook would be pretty big for a sprinter at 200 lbs and 6'3".

You basically need to be an NFL corner that's sorta average in height (5'10" to 6'1") but not too heavy. Maybe 175 to 180-ish. Even Deion Sanders was like 6'1" almost 200 lbs. Sprinters are built like NFL players but just scaled down with less mass.

I dont think anyone is saying he would make the olympics, but he would def improve his time
That's the entire premise of the thread and him running in the USATF sanctioned event. :gucci:
These dudes stay responding to folks they invent in their heads.
You're just a grumpy old nikka always mad because you aren't up with the times and people call you on it . :comeon:
