I just don't think people realize the immense gap between 10.37 and flirting with sub 10.

Marquise Goodwin is an actual Olympian in track and field, he ran a 10.24 coming out of high school, ran track in college, and was never a serious threat to be an Olympic level 100m sprinter.

People just want to believe they can be coached up for everything, but some things are just so raw talent oriented it isn't possible.

DK has the fast twitch fibers but genetics got in the way.

When you are almost 240 lbs with very little body fat, that means you're meant to be a big dude. If he had been given the body of DeVonta Smith, he could legit be an Olympic caliber sprinter. DK was built to be a big azz freak athlete....just not a gold medal sprinter.

Maybe he's in the wrong Olympic sport.

Big, strong guy with speed.....maybe he should go for bobsledding.

Even someone like Russell Westbrook would be pretty big for a sprinter at 200 lbs and 6'3".

You basically need to be an NFL corner that's sorta average in height (5'10" to 6'1") but not too heavy. Maybe 175 to 180-ish. Even Deion Sanders was like 6'1" almost 200 lbs. Sprinters are built like NFL players but just scaled down with less mass.
Yea, Asafa Powell is the same size as Russ 6'3 205 and he's one of the bigger sprinters overall.

But weight for sprinters usually fluctuates a bit throughout the season and the extremely low body fat usually has them looking bigger than they weigh in person.

:what:
A sprinters body is = a football body
Yea, power sprinters look more like football skill players than anything else.

That's the entire premise of the thread and him running in the USATF sanctioned event. :gucci:

.
And that doesn't change that you're a dunderhead who believes his four months of training is akin to that of guys with full time sprint training, therefore, justifying your dumb ass premise that he showed that he's incapable rather than being logical knowing he came into that event with a handicap of not being a full time sprinter.

You aren't smart.

Yea, I was surprised to see how cut/ripped he is for that size.
:dame:

He'd definitely make a bobsled team. :pachaha:

That's impressive. See how easy it is to say that?

I only ran a low 4.6.

I'd pay money to see you clear a hurdle.

Funny enough one of the first times the Coli came up I was trying to show someone something about @James Carter.

Didn't think it'd be necessary. :mjpls:

4.6 is still fast when you consider the average person though :ld:

:russ: He came in last place vs professionals. Whats up with all the "good job good effort" talk.

3 tenths of a sec is ALOT to make up in that short of a distance. Just like 4.2 speed and 4.5 speed are different.

He fast but not Olympic fast.
