Exactly!! People forget that people were dogging on that stuff when it first came out. Everytime something new comes out. There is always a subsect that are comfortable with the status quo and resist change.Revisionist ass history. People did hate DLSS, Frame generation, & path tracing.

People won't do this part. That's too much work to form your own opinion. That's why they subcontract out their critical thinking skills to the mob. I say it all the time. A majority of people wake up each day and log onto social so it can tell them how to feel for the dayThey saw the tech in action but didn't get to test it thoroughly in depth.
That's what I meant by they jumped the gun.
But they're entitled to report things how they want.
DF are "independent", but are now beholden to their Patreon subscribers. Upset their fans and there's no more DF.
Their video has something like 59k dislikes. Despite it being a million viewed video.
But I agree, Internet gaming discourse is deeply flawed. That's why I don't diss games I haven't played. If YOU play & enjoy something that I think is a bad game, I'm not gonna go on Twitter and try to convince you of my opinion.
Try things for yourself and form your own opinion

It was crazy how the mob forced them to back down on their opinions like that. It basically tarnishes a lot of their credibility if they can even put out their own unbiased opinions without worrying about the feedback whether good or bad. They thought leaving and becoming independent would make them more free. Now they're just beholden to their Patreon subscribersDF shouldn’t be tasked with appeasing the internet mob.
They should report their opinions and research as they see fit.
This even just shows how much games media is controlled by hype/hate/narratives other than anyone’s truth.
It can be exciting and impressive tech AND flawed right now.
DF or anyone else isn’t “wrong” for reporting it that way.
Internet cacs just crazy![]()

Yeah you definitely have a point. I've appreciated them giving a technical breakdown on games especially when it comes to stable frame rates and fidelity. But they have also been one of the biggest causes of flaming the fan wars whether intentional or not. Their review of games never actually focus on the true essence of a game which is whether it's fun or not. Instead we're looking at a patch of grass zoomed in at 300x and comparing which system produces it better and folks spiking the football based off of it. A majority of gamers won't even notice that shyt in real lifetheir credibility was always some shyt lmao
groupies who don't even have high end PCs been living vicariously through their reviews for damn near a decade

Aye, the grass is always greener and more vibrant when you zoom in by 300 percent....on the right system.Yeah you definitely have a point. When you're right, you're rightsaying they were not notified is not the same as saying they don’t want to use it.
Devs/artists are already using A.I. in most of the games you play even if it’s just for prototyping.
Any tool that makes things easier will be embraced by devs.
.... Example: those expedition devs used generative AI to help make things easier......and everybody sucked them off. People just pick and choose man
