The album is named after his Son so it has thematic resonance.

And nobody to date from X’s fam has called foul on any move Swizz has made so i’m sure there are reasons why one family member would be on the album and one wouldn’t.

And X mentioned Nas being on the album during his interview with Talib Kweli.

I just feel like if EVER there were a time to just “trust Swizz Beatz” now is it. Swizz would never do anything to dishonor DMX’s legacy and I think there should a benefit of the doubt for people who stayed solid with respect for their homies over a 20 year time period.

Plus like i said before. X said that the album was mostly complete. So I think we should be looking at this as more “Life After Death” than “Born Again”

Sorry If I made it seem like I think Swizz is attempting to be foul. Im just tryna say swizz is swizz and he's on some opposite side of the spectrum shyt. Im not saying he is intentionally tryna dishonor X. But I know Swizz Beatz career path being a big X/ruff ryders fan. So yeah I love swizz like I love X... but nah I don't trust swizz beatz as a fan.

And I'm pretty sure Bath salts wouldn't have been on the album... so changes can definitely be made. Why put a 5yr old song with Nas, Jay and kiss but take Jadakiss off (a dude X has known since he was a kid) They wanted to make it like a clash of the big dogs moment and jada don't fit that narrative so they removed him. Thats my take on it. And add to the fact that none of them even knew they were doing a song together. Swizz pulled some slick shyt to get them on the track

Theme of Album..I get it but meh... X oldest son does music/spoken word and his young daughter raps.. yet they put a baby on a song. Idk what capacity and ill probably like the song but knowing what I know I can't jack that. I'll wait till I hear it. Especially since they said they were putting his daughter on a song. I'd rather them splice his son daughter or drag on into a song than moneybag yo. This isn't me thinking swizz is dishonorin X legacy. This is me thinking this isn't the best decision/what I want to hear..

X said the album was almost done but that doesn't mean changes were not made or wouldn’t have been made while he was still alive... X been "almost done" with an album for about 7 years..

whos to say this one ever would've came out if he lived? I've been watching swizz and X say their working forever and everytime i get excited and nothing comes of it lol. Just some unreleased joints. And a song here and there... the last notable one with Styles P and X still scratching. He was supposed to be making his big come back then and it didn't happen. Same time bath salt dropped iirc. Or another time when he performed that "brand new single" on Dr.phil that was supposed to be his prayer song on his "next album" that never dropped 9ys ago.

X got a ton of music done that was supposed to come out and never did for one reason or another. Of course a label would jump at a chance to release music from a dead artist. Not a shot at swizz.. shot at the label. Whatever they were gonna hold back they will gladly release for a cash grab at this point.

Bruh. They said the album was wrapped up before X passed. I’m confused what the problem is for them to release it. They said the album was a wrap.

Regarding “Bath Salts”. We all know that its an old Nas song from 2012. And that Swizz even toyed with putting on his album Poison in 2018. Swizz has been holding it for a “special” moment and in his mind it probably makes all the sense in the world to put it on X’s final album seeing as X had relationships with both Jay-Z and Nas and had respect for both of them.

I’m aware that Swizz got the verses individually and made it into one song but Jay, Nas, nor Kiss have ever complained about it. Songs get made like that all the time and if an artist has any issue with it they can ask to have their verse removed or have the label not clear it. There could be several reasons why Kiss isn’t on the song BUT if we go with the easiest and simplest answer (That a Clash Of The Titans style X, Nas, and Jay song generates more hype than a “4 Horseman” style song with Kiss) then I guess it just comes down individual feelings on the matter. I personally think the fact that Swizz would give this song to X as a final musical parting gift rather than save it for his own album or Nas or Jay snatch it up for their albums is a beautiful gesture of respect for X’s legacy and that both Nas and Jay view X as a peer and musical equal.

Also lets not forget that The Lox ARE on the album on the very first song so Kiss is well represented in his purest incarnation. Plus Swizz got the OG Ruff Ryders on a track too. So its definitely not all about sales and hype.

Regarding X’s daughter not being on the album. I’m just refraining from judgement as X’s fam hasn’t so far complained nor has the daughter. If THEY are signing off on the youngest son being involved then i’m assuming all parties are cool with it.

Track list seems suspect...
1.wtf is a money bag yo?
2.that bath salt song is like 5yrs old at this point and they took off Jadakiss.....
3.no drag on.. if they gonna add nikkas to songs he's the only one that should be added
4. They said they were going to put his daughter that raps on a song... but Instead I see a song featuring his 4yr old son? Is he rapping or saying goo goo ga ga on the beat?
5. I could do without lil Wayne and snoop. When X was mentioning the album on various platforms he never mentioned them being on the album (at least I don't remember) so I'm kind of disappointed. I don't wanna hear Wayne doing no weirdo auto tune shyt.

but its nice to see inf, cross and ice pick reminds me of some real old school RR shyt.

They couldve did a rehashed version of this is for my dog or something and threw all the nikkas that really meant something to X on there. But it seems like they're going with big names over the real
Basically. Adding nikkas X probably didn't and wouldn't fukk with at all. Drag-On would have probably done the verse of his life for free just to pay homage. Taking Jada off Bath Salts is disrespectful too. No Eve? I smell bullshyt.

90% of the artists on this album are artists X HIMSELF said would be on there.

Even Bono

Eve has mostly been in the UK with her white family pretending black issues don’t exist, so I’m fine with her not being on there

I'm referring to Pop Smoke/Moneybagg. If he mentioned Pop Smoke, I missed it. But, why put Moneybagg Yo on there after the fact? X wasn't fukking with those little nikkas like that.

I know, but it would still make more sense than some of the features we're getting.

People on here complaining about the album features that haven't even heard the project. If you listen to any of dmx recent interviews he mentions that this Is definitely his heaviest feature album. People have no idea what went into the project and who dmx did or didnt want features from yet people want to make assumptions. Let the music play out and let's support the project out of respect for dmx. Swizz has never been the one to disrespect X.

Yeah exactly we better not hear Nas rapping bout life is good and Jay referencing Fagna Carter Holy Fail I'm gonna be pissed.
When they asked Swizz about the song on the breakfast club some year back he said everyone wanted to re-do their verses because they all didn’t know everybody on it. I’m assuming they all have new verses.
