hope it does well for X's family... but I'll never listen to anything off this again.

of course after years of build Bath Salts is horrible. no Jada verse, and a weird mix of old and new verses.
that Jay verse is def from Blueprint 3 and MDTF era sessions...its bad and Nas rapping about fukkin Akademiks

:snoop:

how do these two manage to disappoint me twice in the space of what ? a month.

Just started listening from the top.

Never thought I'd say this, but 'Bath Salts' could actually have done with Swizz talking his 'ZONEZONEZONE!!!!:damn:' shyt on the intro given the fact we had Nas, Jay and X on the same track.

It deserved more than a four bar instrumental intro :ld:

Nasir went off though :whoo:
He took the hook off of it. Swizz butchered the song. Song has mad versions. Lol.

nikka u fukkin buggin Nas blacked on that shyt and he ain’t talking about Akademiks. He said one line and it made sense. And this is like the 4th version of Bath Salts.

the jay, nas song first surfaced during that swizz/just blaze battle ..and I believe that was close to 5 years ago...and it was “unreleased” then so it was probably recorded like a year or 2 before that lol ..probably when the “bath salt zombie” gimmick was a thing on the net..which I think was like 2013
Nas spit a new verse. The original song was a Nas song for LIG and it had 3 Nas verses. It then got gutted and it was Nas, Jay, Jadakiss, and DMX. Swizz then gutted this shyt again and removed the hook and Nas did a new verse for it.

This is basically DMX's "Recovery'' album like when Eminem dropped his from overcoming what he went thru, expect X didn't make it. Original fans won't mess with the mainstream stuff since it does sound a little too pop-ish but it balances out the harder tracks. It's a mixed bag album. I'd give it a 7.5/10 off a few listens. Not bad but i'm not sure how much replay value i'll get out of it but it's cool.

This album isn't good.

As much as I love X, this album doesn't do his legacy any justice. Swizz is my guy, but he shouldn't have been the person at the helm of this one. He threw a Jay acapella on here that's easily 10-11 years old. The mixing on here is wild subpar. They rushed the process and had people give them old and unused acapellas that were spliced together and thrown on beats that aren't that great either. Which is why so many people sound off-beat. This isn't the level of quality that X deserved, and Swizz should've chilled on throwing this out so quickly.

I think this was definitely a cash grab. This is basically a Khaled album, in the name of DMX. Forced attempt at memorializing him. He should've gotten a much better send-off than this.
