Album is good.

But am I the only one who had a hard time listening to this? It just sucks to realize DMX is gone

It almost feels wrong to listen to this

It's nice to hear his voice and some new tracks. Bono track is surprisingly good. I enjoy the interludes and skits. Not every track is a hit. We just gotta bring down our expectations. Our legends get older and it would be silly for them to be sounding and rapping like they were young again. They're just not that angry and hungry anymore and neither am I. I'm not trying to hear all that. I like the track him talking to his son. It's something I can relate to better. It was honest and real.

Our, or at least my frustration is not with anything DMX did

Moreso the production and mixing

What u mean? X said he was working with these cats before he died. Aside from Moneybagg Yo because that was supposed to be a Pop Smoke song but they ended up having label and clearance issues and couldn’t put it on the album.

and he sounds like an afterthought on his own shyt. This album should’ve been big features (Nas, Jay, Bono, Alicia) and the rest solo joints with big production.

this isn’t a Dr Dre album where Dre can take a back seat on a few songs. X can hold his own on a track and deserved a little better. From the looks of this there was more material than the bullshyt Biggie albums that got cobbled together. For all of the heavier hitters Swizz knows, he could’ve lined up a couple of top dogs to lace this album.

I appreciate Swizz passion for this but it feels very half baked. Take your damn time and do it how they are doing these Prince releases. shyt, even the mixing on a couple of tracks felt off
