How is the song with SNOOP not the lead single? Like someone else said, that was a layup. They need to push that song to radio ASAP.

I'm enjoy the album. I grew up on DMX. His music was the soundtrack to my youth. But we gotta let his old music stay in that era. Like someone else said, that period of time doesn't exist anymore. And the artists have grown. That hunger and pain isn't there anymore because they evolved and attained success.

And trust me I think music is mostly garbage now. The Golden years of rap were the 90's and early 2000's. So lets just enjoy the music X left us.

I got DMX first 4 albums so I stopped checking for anything after The Great Depression.

DMX hasn't been the same for a while now. He kinda declined in album quality after The Great Depression came out. That was the end of peak DMX. That's like 20 years ago.

Yup just like I just said in a recent response I stopped checking for DMX albums after that one. That was around 2001. He started falling off around his third album which was wack but The Great Depression was an improvement from "Then There Was X" album.

You don’t have to tell me when you stopped listening to x, by your comment I could tell it was awhile Dmx suffered from poor production with no flashes of old x, this project you saw the flashes, best project in a while, you can tell swizz had him locked in

This whole album felt rushed and felt like it was missing something,

I wish they've included the tracks he recorded a couple of years back.

One of the worst mixed/mastered album I've heard in years. Makes the rush/stitch job even more jarring. There are some standout tracks. Bath Salts is cool, Nas snaps. Dogs Out prob the best beat and Wayne floats, Walking In the Rain is great including another dope Nas verse. Snoop track is great. Letter To My Son is touching. Everything else though....forgettable.

first listen i was kinda sus on the whole thing but the more I listen this album really hitting. I even think X killed that song now despite me thinking he was rough on it before.
