One of the worst mixed/mastered album I've heard in years. Makes the rush/stitch job even more jarring. There are some standout tracks. Bath Salts is cool, Nas snaps. Dogs Out prob the best beat and Wayne floats, Walking In the Rain is great including another dope Nas verse. Snoop track is great. Letter To My Son is touching. Everything else though....forgettable.
makes those blu tapes sound like 2001

This album had some songs that I really Like on it, but all I kept thinking was I wish this had the less gravelly voiced X on it! I know that’s the way X sounded in his later years but I wish he had sounded like he did when he first came out!

Wow. This right here is proof u Coli nikkas is fukkin crazy. Snoop sounds like fukkin Snoop still after all these years and had one of the best guest verses and he should be removed from the song why? The fukk type of shyt should he be saying at 50 years old nikka?

Snoop is the most washed up fall-off rapper of all time…minus Last Meal and a couple tracks on Blue Carpet Treatment.

The Great Depression is way better than Grand Champ. Grand Champ was too bloated and then they gave away what would've been two of the best tracks to the Cradle 2 The Grave soundtrack.
Nah I agree, Grand champ was better to me, but that’s because it had a higher number of tracks that were good, but I do agree with you it was overly bloated too, imagine if he trimmed the fat and dropped a couple skits..

1. Dog Intro
2. My Life Ft. Chinky
3. Where Da Hood At
4. Dogs Out
5. Get It On The Floor Ft. Swizz Beatz
6. Come Prepared Skit
7. Shot Down Ft. Styles P & 50 Cent
8. Untouchable Ft. Ruff Ryders
9. fukk Ya’ll
10. Ruff Radio Skit
11. We’re Back Ft. Eve & Jadakiss
12. X Gon Give It To Ya
13. We Go Hard Ft. Cam’ron
14. The Rain
15. Gotta Go Skit
16. Don’t Gotta Go Home Ft. Monica
17. Ayo Kato
18. Thank You Ft. Patti Labelle
19. The Payer V

Like that it’s his 3rd best album imo

From the cursory slip through I had this afternoon Swizz absolutely destroyed this and not in a good way. His beats are trash why do MCs act like his shyt is dope? Bath Salts is :trash:

I’m fine with letting past music be past music, but that doesn’t mean bad albums should be propped up just cause it’s a present day album. This album is awful and Swizz is the biggest reason for it. Besides 3 tracks, this album sounds like one of those posthumous albums that comes out 5 years after an artist passes, when the label has already bled their legacy dry. This is a 2002 Death Row album.

Glad I didn't bother to listen.

I haven't listened to a DMX project since like '03 because I never wanted to hear him washed.

Is the beat on that Nas/Jay track the one Swizz showcaed in his battle with Just Blaze where Busta went crazy ?
