This album dropped in 2001, can't believe 21 years have passed. Getting old sucks. This album got a lot of hate but I liked it.

This is a really good album that was overshadowed by 9/11 and the absolute heat that was released in late 2001.

Thanks to you Lord, for my birth, for every day that I've lived
You gave me a love most of my life I didn't know was there
In the name of Jesus! I give you my life, 'cause you cared
Amen

I remember being really hyped about the album and being let down. When I heard "who we be" and heard the album was called the great depression I thought its was gonna be flames. It was real average to me overall. It had some great tracks on there though. I need to revisit it in its entirety.

Excellent album. Probably the DMX album I listened the most.

Very dark album, so I understand now why it did not have good sales. It was the era of Nelly, Ja Rule, Eminem and Jay-Z. Fun, party and bullshyt Hip-Hop. X was too dark and serious.

It was also the last great DMX album. It was the end of his run. A good run.

Grand Champ was pretty large as well. I think i understand what you mean but Grand Champ
still had hit songs and he also had hit songs on Cradle 2 The Grave sdtrk and acted in the movie itself. So it say '03 was still apart of his run.
