Keep Obama out of this. :russell:

Obama very ascendence to power was a grassroots effort so I don't understand why you're latching him on to Clintonites.

Obama's ascent was grassroots. Very effective organizing

But he governed like a Clinton - third way centrism. Trying to reach out to the GOP when he didn't have to. And oversaw his congressional majority destroyed into a permanent minority.

He ran on bipartisanship. :what:

Anyway I'm neither a liberal nor a leftist so I had no problem with his governing style.

:yeshrug:

But that last sentence of yours is the very height of intellectual dishonesty but please, keep doing you. :francis:

Once again, I never had as much distaste for Hillary supporters as many of the people here, and I can see why many of them went for her, and I certainly didn't believe Bernie was prefect (especially by the end of his campaign), but the race based attacks/misrepresentation on him, his supporters, and the underserved propping up of Hillary's support base in regards to race issues, is one of the most disgusting things I've seen in my life.

They still lost all those seats even with the ban in place while the Koch brothers were funding "grassroots" movements on the right. I understand the appeal or even the logic that some on the left have with this money in politics but I think they overstate how non-political junkies really care about some of the issues they raise.

I'm glad she put his ass into place.

Meghan McCain alright with me because when Barack's daughters were being attacked, she told people to fall back.

Democrats feel entitled to our votes, but keep courting the right wingers.

:francis: Yes. Yes applaud Meghan for stepping up for Obama's daughters. That means she's the homie.

Birther movement? *silence*
Racism? *silence*
Disrespect against Michelle? *silence*
shytting on sasha and malia? "It's time I stood up for what's right!" :cape:

If only these Shillary stans would recognize this.

Until 2016 I didn't know you were racist if you didn't vote for one white person over the other.

Washington (CNN)Democratic Rep. John Lewis of Georgia called Rep. Keith Ellison the "right person" to lead the Democratic National Committee in a new video out Tuesday.

In the video, Lewis, a civil rights movement icon, explained why he endorsed Ellison -- a Democratic congressman from Minnesota -- for DNC chair, saying Ellison "has the ability and the capacity to inspire people to stand out, to speak up, to speak out."
"We need his leadership. We need his vision. We need his commitment and his dedication now more than ever before," Lewis says. "Keith wants our party not just to wait until the next election but to organize now for the long haul."

Buckley exits DNC chair race, backs Ellison

Lewis had already endorsed Ellison in a letter sent to members of the DNC earlier this month.

Ellison, who's in a competitive race for the job against former Labor Secretary Tom Perez, has also been endorsed by Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.

Perez also received significant backing, including the support of former Vice President Joe Biden and four governors.

DNC members are set to elect a new chairman in Atlanta on Saturday, which is the last possible weekend allowed in the party's charter.

CNN is hosting a debate with the DNC candidates on Wednesday, which will be moderated by CNN's Dana Bash and Chris Cuomo.

@FAH1223

Is John Lewis back to being OK now :sas2: ?

Yup. This circular firing squad is useless. Theyre still fighting the primary while regular people are energized elsewhere.

Rather do it now then after 2018. I think regular people care about all these things. But they don't want Hillary in 2020!
