as far as look/features? no I can't tell unless they're an east african or from the sudan/uganda area.

As a whole, West Africans tend to be darker on avg compared to AA, but a dark/brown skinned brotha from the US would not stand out in West Africa at first glance.

mannerisms and fashion usually give it up.

EDIT: I can spot a ghanaian with a flat head from miles away though lol

No. Black people in the Americas look different than Africans because we are native to this land. Same way black folks in Vanuatu or the other Pacific Islands look different from Africans.

Generally, I would say yeah, but I say its due to being an ethnicity thing more than anything considering. With certain west african (or Caribbean) ethic groups, I can't tell the difference at all.

tribal.lines get cooked in the gumbo.pot over here*

this too.

Nah fam, i've spent time in France and some cats could've straight up passed for AA imo, even tho they african, i use to think africans had a typical look till i went abroad
I agree for the most part but here's my problem with this bolded statement:

Why do americans often refer to blacks living in Europe as "africans" even tho a lot of these blacks living in France and UK and other places may have been rooted there for over a century? At what point do they become "French" or "British" to you just like you are "American"?

I'm just asking because I often heard this in a few conversations ive had where any black person from those countries are referred to as african just because they have an african name?

Are you saying that because you don't want us to have a connection to Africa? If thats the case sounds like some :mjpls: alt right divisive scheming.

Or are you saying that on some white people don't belong here type of militancy? because thats true regardless.

Either way i don't really see how it benefits black people to preach this rhetoric. Just means we took two historical L's instead of 1 and that we have no pan-African allegiance in the greater struggle.

Ghanian folk have certain headshapes, particularly Ashanti...I can spot one from a mile away.
Mayles, Crostons/jackson-whites/carmel indians/Ramapo-Indian type brehs, very distinct. Those "tri racial" isolate (still black) groups of people are a sizable part of our population that tend to pop up look-wise in AAs.
Some of the women are :scust: tho.
Freck billionaire headasses...
