@D.C Young
I feel you. But the "paranoia" thing won't help you advance your business. You NEED to market your business. Marketing is like the fuel of a business. You can have a great car but if you don't market it anywhere (or are nervous about how others will see you) it won't go anywhere. 1500 units sold is a GREAT start but if you are worried about "how people see you" vs "how they see the product" you are shooting yourself in the foot before you start.
That being said I 100% respect your need for anonymity here. I'll give some generic tips on how to market it.
#1 Social media/Instagram - You should be searching for hashtags that have anything to do with your product. Say for example you were selling skincare products. I would search #skincare #cleanskin #freshface etc. etc. and like every picture possible and follow as many of those people as possible. Then, I would post an IG picture of "all new users get 15% off" so when people see your IG the first thing they see is a coupon and it will drive traffic to your site which should lead to sales
#2 Re-engagement - reach out to all of your previous clients with coupons: refer a friend and save 20% on your next order. Have you and your friend use the coupon code "refer1" or whatever. Markup/slash-down: LOTS of companies markup the prices on their website and then cross it off with a red slash and then offer a lower price. For example, if your product costs 19.99, mark it up to 22.99, then "slash" the 22.99 and put 17.99. You're really only offering 2 dollars less, but it actually looks like they are saving 5 dollars.
#3 Use the Coli! You post here every day. You can get worldwide exposure from doing an honest thread about your products and asking people to support. The worst that someone can do is laugh at you over the internet

meanwhile you might actually get loyal customers from markets that you can never reach in your day to day life.
either way I wish you well! I'd love to help more but like I said if you are concerned about people trolling you and want to keep your business to yourself I respect that too.
