This is nothing more than an attack on taxes, the inner city, unions, and push for privatization to fleece tax payers.

10 years down the road it will be "well, I guess we go that wrong, thanks for the money. We really tried. At least we reached our goal of reducing taxes, killing the middle class and unions, and made money doing it".

I'm not okay with anything. God damn it.

I would be open to hearing your views on wealth redistribution if that's what you're advocating.

That was profound, so comparing wealthy school districts to poor inner city districts is apples to apples in your mind?

the whole point of school reform is to make sure that por kids are getting the same level of education as a wealthy person

so yes you do need to compare wealthy school districts to inner city poor disctrict, how would you know what the state of education is or wether you are making progress?

The playing fields will never be equal, there are underlying social issues that can't be ignored. By giving poor districts more money, which wealthier districts could raise on their own as necessary, they're trying to even the playing field. Funding doesn't equate to test scores, it's simple. You're trying to jumble and skip over issues as you usually do to try and prove your convoluted point.

@Trip you're welcome to see what I wrote above, I'm happy to give you ideas later today when I'm free.

the point of the article is that funding doesnt equate to test scores and then, strangely, you said its the dumbest article you have ever read

if funding doesnt equate to test scores then that means increasing funding is not the solution and we need other ideas to reform the schools, what ideas do you have for reforming the schools?

Option 1:
Stop the bubblegum shyt and raise the standards to pass. Make it slightly more difficult to get a high school diploma. It might force kids to study harder and actually learn the shyt.

Option 2:
Look at the teaching and motivation methods of countries outperforming us and implement their methods

Great idea, unfortunately wont work due to difference in American culture regarding education compared to a country like Nigeria (the developed parts) or Japan

True.

I think its because of the melting pot theory and capitalism here in America.

Japan, India, Nigeria etc all have pretty much the same "type" of people which leads to a greater since of unity amongst them. They feel empowered and want to succeed to honor their family and country.

Here in America we have the freedom and resources to start a business, where 50- 80% fail. False opportunities here in America brehs/ettes

I've explained to you why the comparison isn't valid.
