Just pointing out a bias that a number of posters here seem to hold.
At the end of the day these are class issues that transcend where you're from.
Generally speaking West Indians have higher rates of college education and small business ownership.
There is also less of them so their rate should be higher.
you cant compare 5 million adults to 300k adults.
but that's neither here nor there.
you misinterpret the concerns of AAs.
You think its some warped envy but its really looking out for our best interest and that of our descendents.
Black immigrants generally (or as they put it) have an easier time achieving success in America ,no?
Most don't consider themselves AA, and their success doesn't benefit the AA community.
Black immigrants claim AA when beneficial then distance themselves when it isn't.
That being the case they shouldn't be grouped with AAs.
Being Black=/= being AA.
They don't have the same stake in the game. its rather simple.
