not sure there is a name for them.

but you mean groups like ..

"Liverpool-born Blacks are people of Black African ancestry born in the city of Liverpool. Liverpool has the United Kingdom's oldest and longest established black community, going back several generations.[1] Liverpool's black community is also unusual among those in the United Kingdom, as the Liverpool-born Black British community often constitute a category distinct from later African and Afro-Caribbean migrants.[2]"

"Dating to the 1730s, the Black community of Liverpool is Britain's oldest, with some Liverpudlians being able to trace their black heritage for as many as ten generations."

Most of them are now more likely to resemble

I don't mean African or Caribbean immigrants. I mean black Brits. Ya'll got y'all own typa food? If so where could I try some?

@Caca-faat I know you go the scoop.
Not really. Black Brits (such as me) aren't a cohesive and distinct ethnic group. We don't really have a distinct culture within the UK and thus the various SSA ethnic groups (Jamaicans, Bajans, Trinis, Nigerians, Ghanaians, Kenyans, etc) haven't mixed with each other to form a specific ethnic group. Needs more time.

Y’all better make a FBB designation quick.

There is no such thing as a people not having a culture, and as you can see in this very thread, they already claiming you don’t even exist.

At the bolded part - That takes time and will. The fact of the matter is that most Black people in the UK see ourselves as distinct multiple ethnic groups such as British Jamaican, British Bajan, British Nigerian, British Ghanaian etc. It's within these groups that new cultures are forming, a combination of British and *insert African and Caribbean countries*. Maybe with time said ethnic groups will drop we'll stop using Jamaican, Ghanaian, Kenyan, Congolese, Guyanese, etc and just mix with each other to form a distinct ethnic group within the UK.

The vast majority of black brits (99%+) are immigrants or children of immigrants (grandparents sometimes older).

There were no plantations in the UK.

Slavery by Europeans was used mostly in the new world - Americas, carribbean

Those ethnic groups will absorb you to the point you no longer exist then claim all of your accomplishments as theirs.

They have no desire to drop their colonial ethnicities.

It’s a numbers game.

Don’t fall for it unless you’re ok with it.

I wish there was a thread in TLR titled 'Donald J Trump: 47th President of the United States' with all the fukkery updates and decline of thought among Americans. This thread would belong in that thread.

I agree, It will still take a very very very long time. Especially when our respective homelands are dominant culturally. Jamaicans and Nigerians will still be claiming their respective ethnicities generations from now no matter how mixed they are. True black Britishness akin to African American may be about a century away. By then there will be enough ppl here into one homogeneous black culture to create that true identity, but the above still rings true too.

Every group has its own silo culturally but we also come together if you see the various ACS groups at universities
