Do black men oppress black women?

It isnt that simple but that does help.

We can do our best to get more black men to act right and stop treating women badly but if some black women are still giving the wrong ones what they want then we will fail.

This tendency to sway the conversation away from black women, and their unique issues to try and prove their experiences wrong is another example of the type of privilege we have over black women when we have conversations like this. If you already have it made up in your mind what your feelings are about this topic then why create a thread about it, and argue against any comment that goes against your own personal beliefs? The black female experience isn't one I've had. It isn't one you've had, so my point is that we have to listen to black women when they talk about their issues because that respect is always extended to us from them. Blackness is maleness. We need to put effort into making these types of discussions more inclusive.

If black men truly oppressed black women like Arabs do Arab women, black men would have no trouble getting girlfriends or having partners, because we would partner black women up with chattel and ignore them till they die. Instead black American men must struggle through this Western white calamity where we are forced--at gunpoint--to a Bullshyt dance wherein we have to hear feminist whining,condensension, betrayal, etc without retribution. No, truly black American men are oppressed. In many parts of Africa, black women don't even get divorced. They stay with their black husband whatever he does. That's oppression. Black women in America are not oppressed by black men and have no idea what oppression is.

I already addressed this issue. Domestic violence is calculated into the crime rate and black men still victimize black men more than women. And nobody says we are oppressing ourselves because we're not. In the same breath black men are not oppressing black women with crime.

& This is why I don't see the point of discussing issues that revolve around Black Women with Black Men,it's literally pointless.Our issues can only be seen as issues if Black Men agree they are issues.If they don't agree that the claimed issue is an issue, then what is there to be discussed? Nothing.It literally goes like this:

Black Woman: list A,B,& C reasons she has with the black community
Black Man: Has rebuttal, doesn't agree with A,B,C

Then what is there to discuss?There is no solution if there is no problem.
